Dutch-Smart sells Treasure Coast in three forms: an XXL grow kit with 2100cc of colonised mycelium, a spore ampoule and a spore spray. The kit is the complete, ready route: the shop aims it at growers who have done a smaller kit and want more volume. The two spore products are for people who inoculate their own sterile substrate. In the Netherlands all three are legal to buy; mushrooms that appear from them are not, as the law page explains. This page is for adult buyers in the Netherlands.
The XXL kit, as the shop describes it
The shop calls Treasure Coast "a wild-collected Psilocybe cubensis variety from the Treasure Coast region on Florida's east coast, known for its fast growth and above-average potency". The XXL box contains:
- 2100cc of mycelium on grain substrate;
- a grow bag with an air filter and paperclips;
- a detailed step-by-step manual (Dutch and English versions are on the product page).
According to the shop, the kit is "aimed at growers who have already used a smaller kit and are ready for a bigger volume", and "with good care, a 2100cc kit can produce a substantial amount of fresh mushrooms across several flushes, with the first flush usually giving the biggest harvest". It ships discreetly by PostNL.
Setting it up, in the shop's words
The shop's usage text is short, and the manual in the box is the reference. In outline:
- Set it up on arrival. Keeping the kit in the fridge "is only advisable for 1 to 2 days at most before yield starts to suffer".
- Soak the block as described in the manual.
- Place it in the grow bag in a bright spot out of direct sunlight, at roughly 20 to 24 °C.
- Wait for pinheads. After soaking, the first pins usually appear within 1 to 2 weeks.
- Harvest 5 to 7 days later, "just before the veil under the cap breaks".
Everything that is general to cubensis kits (hygiene, misting, contamination, drying) is the same for Treasure Coast as for any other cultivar. A general overview of the species is on Wikipedia; this site keeps to what is specific to this cultivar and these products.
The spore ampoule and the spore spray
Both spore products come from Mondo Mycologicals and share one description. The shop says Treasure Coast "colonizes very quickly", "performs above average in vitro (in a bag)" and grows well on brown rice flour, grains, and pasteurised or sterilised substrates such as compost or hay. "Albino variants sometimes form." The pack contains spore solution, a sterile syringe, an alcohol wipe and instructions.

A laboratory study of P. cubensis found no psilocybin or related tryptamines in its spores, while the mycelium did contain psilocin (Gotvaldová et al., 2021). That difference is why many places regulate spores differently from mushrooms, though not everywhere: Florida has banned selling and importing them since July 2025.

Which one to choose
You have grown a smaller kit before and want Treasure Coast. Take the XXL kit. It is the format the shop recommends for that step, and it saves you the colonisation stage entirely.
This would be your first kit. The shop positions the XXL kit as the step after a smaller one. Its 1200cc kits are that smaller step; Treasure Coast is not currently sold in that size, so a first kit would be another cultivar, with Treasure Coast as the follow-up.

You work with sterile technique and your own substrate. Choose the ampoule or the spray. Both carry the same shop description and come with a sterile syringe; pick the format you are used to working with.
Useful additions. A small grow light helps when the room is dark, and a precision scale tells you what a harvest weighs.

Before you order
Dutch-Smart ships from the Netherlands to adults only. The law that applies to a grow kit or spores is the law where the parcel arrives and where it would be used, including import rules. In Florida, importing or selling spores capable of producing psilocybin mushrooms has been a misdemeanour since 1 July 2025; in the United Kingdom and Germany growing the mushrooms is an offence.
